How to scan a qr code step-by-step
1. When you have downloaded the app, tap to open it.
2. When it opens, it will act just like a camera, viewing whatever you point the phone camera at.
NOTE: There is a history button in QR scanner apps so you can reopen any previous codes you have scanned. So you don't have to worry about losing them. |
3. Simply hold it up to the QR code.
4. It will immediately open the webpage. You may have to scroll sideways to read the full page.
5. You will see a link within it. Click the image to open it and use the back button in the bottom left to return to the clue.
6. There will also be a Google Map link to your next destination. Again, click on the image to open it.
7. When Google Maps opens, it will zoom in to a map of the next location. If you like you can find the route to the location using Google Maps by pressing the image of a car or person in the bottom right.
8. On the next screen, you can change the mode of transport to walking if necessary and choose your route.
(As you can see I'm not in Dublin at the moment. I can assure you it won't take you 1day and 17 hours to get there.) |
9. You can follow the mapped route to the next location and then use your clue to figure out exactly where the QR code is.
(Again your route will be much, much shorter!) |
